Eligibility :
The Tootsie Pops How Many Licks Sweepstakes (“Sweepstakes”) is open to legal residents of the 50 United States and the District of Columbia who are 13 years of age or older as of August 1, 2008. Employees of Tootsie Roll Industries, LLC, its subsidiary companies, affiliates, distributors, retailers, advertising and promotional agencies, and the independent judging organization, and the immediate family (spouse, parent, child, sibling and their respective spouses) and household members of such employees are not eligible. Void outside the U.S. and where prohibited by law.
Timing :
Sweepstakes begins at 12:00:01 a.m. EDT on August 1, 2008 and ends at 11:59:59 p.m. EDT on July 31, 2009.
How to enter:
There are two ways to enter:
- Log on to www.tootsie.com during the Promotion Period to enter and complete the official entry form on the computer screen, including full name, address, phone, email address, date of birth and your best guess as to the number of licks it takes to arrive at the chewy center of a Tootsie Pop. Click on submit button and you are entered in the Sweepstakes. Automated methods of entry are prohibited.
- Enter by mail by hand printing your full name, address, phone, email address, date of birth and your best guess as to the number of licks it takes to arrive at the chewy center of a Tootsie Pop on a 3 x 5 card and mailing to: Tootsie Pops How Many Licks Sweepstakes, PO Box 5350, Clinton, IA 52736-5350.

Limit one (1) entry per person/e-mail address regardless of entry method.
Prize (s):
Sixty (60) Monthly Prizes (five per month): A one year supply (27 pounds) of assorted Tootsie Candy items. Approximate Retail Value: $50/each. One (1) Grand Prize: $50,000 cash, awarded as a check made payable to the winner or, if the winner is a minor, to the winner’s parent or legal guardian. Bonus Prize: if the Grand Prize Winner’s guess as to the number of licks it takes to arrive at the chewy center of a Tootsie Pop is within 3% (plus or minus) of the average number of licks calculated from all entries combined, the Grand Prize Winner will receive an additional $5,000 cash, awarded as a check made payable to the winner.
