Eligibility : Only legal residents of the fifty (50) United States who are eighteen (18) years of age or older are eligible to enter.

Promotion Period : Welcome to Dogtown Sweepstakes (the “Sweepstakes”) begins on or about May 4, 2009, at 12:01 a.m. Eastern Standard Time (“EST”) and ends on May 29, 2009, at 11:59 p.m. EST (the “Sweepstakes Period”).

How To Enter : Visit the web sites www.welcometodogtown.com (the “Websites”), and complete the entry form with the information requested.

Limit : Limit one (1) entry per person and/or per e-mail address per day.

Prize (s):

The Grand Prize consists of a trip for two (2) to Best Friends Animal Sanctuary in Kanab, UT for four (4) days and three (3) nights. The trip includes: roundtrip coach airfare for the Grand Prize winner and one (1) guest from the major commercial airport nearest Grand Prize winner’s residence to St. George, UT; three (3) nights hotel accommodations in a hotel of Sponsor’s choice; ground transportation to and from the airport to Kanab, UT; lunch for Winner and guest at the Best Friends Animal Sanctuary with the founders and the talent from the program, “DogTown”; a catered dinner for Winner and guest and One Thousand Dollars ($1,000.00) spending cash.. Other restrictions may apply. Talent appearance is subject to availability. Sponsors reserve the right to change the dates of travel. Sponsors are not responsible for schedule changes, delays or cancellations. The approximate retail value (“ARV”) of each Grand Prize is Three Thousand and Sixty Nine Dollars ($3,069.00).

The five (5) Runner-Up winners will each receive a “Welcome to Dogtown” Basket, including “DogTown,” Season 1 and Season 2 on DVD, and One Hundred Fifty Dollars ($150.00) worth of PETCO merchandise. The approximate retail value (“ARV”) of each Runner-Up Prize is Two Hundred Dollars ($200.00). The total ARV of all Runner-Up prizes is One Thousand Dollars ($1,000.00).

Winners : To obtain a copy of any legally-required winners’ list or official rules, send a self-addressed stamped envelope to Welcome to Dogtown (please specify “Official Rules” or “Winners List”): National Geographic Channel’s Welcome to Dogtown Sweepstakes, P.O. Box 130395, The Woodlands, TX 77393. Residents of TN and VT may omit return postage. All such requests must be received by December 1, 2009. These Official Rules will be posted on the Websites.

  1. I think Dogtown is a great place for homeless animals and to be so lucky to be located in the beautiful southwest. The southwest is one of my favorite places to visit.
    Getting an opportunity to spend time with the animals and staff is a once in a life time experience. I personally have adopted two dogs and a cat from humane societies. I’m also sucker for stray animals. In 2003, I took in a stray dog with his female feline companion who showed up at my door. They are both with me today, happy to be loved and taken care of.

  2. I am so excited that there is a chance for me and my daughter to visit dogtown. It is my daughter’s intention to work there in the near future. Having the opportunity to be there and actually see how things are done would be a dream come true for her and me. I am moving to AZ in 1 year from now so we will be very close to dogtown. Maggie loves animals and has said several times that she wants to have a no kill shelter. Then I saw the show on tv and she cried with anticipation when I told her about it. How do I find out if I win?

  3. I’m a 35 year old dog groomer. Dogs have always been in my life! I even provide free grooming services to the city pound & the St. Tammy Parish pound as well. When I started watching DOGTOWN, it warmed my heart to see other people, besides myself, care as much as myself! You guys are making a differents! I was also glad you had this sweapstakes, gives me a chance (if I won) to see you guys in action!

  4. I think its a great idea it gives people a chance to see the wonderful things that Dog Town and Best Friends does for all animals that have been given a second chance at life after what they have been thru.

  8. This would be such a great experience! I am a canine education instructor as well as a board member of our local shelter! I would LOVE to come out and see TRUE EXPERTS at work, and hopefully learn something valuable. I am truely a “dog mom” with 3 of my own, and dearly love all dogs.   9. Would love to come and enjoy the 4 days at DOGTOWN! I love dogs and everything about them. I am very involved with canine education and adoptions and feel I could learn a lot there. WHAT A GREAT PLACE TO EXPERIENCE… HOPE I WIN!!!

  14. Thanks Dogtown for taking care of the unwanted and homeless animals. I am a member of PETA and it does my heart good to see caring people like yourselves helping these animals especially the ones that are helped to become adoptable pets…If I ever get out west I would love to stop by and see your wonderful facility in action….again thanks to everyone at Dogtown USA….

  15. PETA!? If you love pets, and care for homeless ones, PETA is the LAST organization you should belong to joyce. It is a very scary, skewed organization whose founder needs some serious help. Nobody, and I mean nobody, in animal rescue supports or condones virtually anything PETA does or stands for. I truly encourage you to google their “work” on behalf of homeless pets.

  16. I am really amazed at what dogtown does for all these precious animals. I watch the show and even the repeats,right after dog whisper.I think that it’s great that they take in dogs that would be put down and with the Michael Vick dogs. I thought how could they rehabilitate such mean dogs, but I saw it with my own eyes. So I think that having this sweepstakes is a great way for people to see first hand or first paw how great these people and dogs are. Also it’s nice that natgeo is sponsering this wonderful experience.

  17. I wrote that natgeo was sponsering this sweepstakes, but I realized that petco is sponsering the dogtown adventure. So I wish to apologize to petco. I am such a big DOG LOVER and animal person, I would be so thrilled to be chosen for this experience.

  19. I have two dogs and I would much rather spend time with them.
    They are so much comfoat. Back in 04 I had stage 3a breast cancer and they were the best medicine in the world. They accepted me and never asked ten thousand question. They are god’s gift.

  20. I’m a Dogtown fan, my heart breaks when I see animal cruelty. Thank you for having the passion to save these innocent animals, by the end of the show I feel relieved people like Dogtown really cares. I live in East Tennessee and have picked up six strays. I live close to a garbage drop off station and people drop of garbage, cats and dogs. All my dogs were staving, infested with worms, fles and one had a broken leg. I can say right now they are all taken care of and loved very much. I would love to visit your facility, keep up the good work.

    There was a problem with the “provider” box. The dropdown did not work nor was one able to enter by typing anything in the box. The entry therefore was not able to be completed and entered. Kept receiving a red message to enter the provider.

  25. This would be such a great opportunity for me and my granddaughter.I am a retired dog groomer and I have always promised my granddaughter that if I ever had the money I would take her to Dogtown. She inherited my “dog-genes” and loves all animals.

  26. I think this is such a good thing you are doing for some lucky viewer and I hope I am that viewer!! I would Love to be able to do what you all do for the animals it does a soul good because to tell to tell you the truth the animals were put here for our enjoyment and to take care of not DESTROY I dont know what some people are thinking when they do the things they do to our animals they are all GODS creaturesand he expects us to take care of them:) And I LOVE doing it no matter what it is.   29. i love dogs, how people treat them is wrong. how could u hurt such a precias thing. i would love 2 be able 2 help mistreated dogs. but where i kive at they don’t have anything like that.it breaks my heart.
