Clorox - Healthy Classroom Heroes Essay Contest
Eligibility :
Clorox® Healthy Classroom Heroes Contest (the “Contest”) is open only to legal residents of the fifty (50) United States and the District of Columbia who are at least eighteen (18) years old at the time of entry. Employees of The Clorox Company, TracyLocke, TribalDDB, American Broadcasting Companies, Inc., Barwall Productions, Inc., ePrize, LLC, and any of their parent and affiliate companies as well as the immediate family (spouse, parents, siblings and children) and household members of each such employee are not eligible. The Contest is subject to all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations. Void where prohibited.
Timing :
The Contest begins on August 7, 2008 at 12:00 a.m. Eastern Time (”ET”) and ends on November 1, 2008 at 11:59 p.m. ET (the “Contest Period”).
How to enter:
During the Contest Period, visit www.cloroxclassrooms.com (the “Website”) and follow the links and instructions to complete the registration form including a valid home address (P.O. Boxes are not permitted), and to nominate a teacher (K-8th grade) for the Clorox® Healthiest Classroom Hero Award by describing how the teacher promotes a healthy classroom, what healthy habits the students learn from the teacher, and the ways the teacher is a Healthy Classroom Hero. The response to each of the three (3) questions must not exceed one hundred (100) words in length. Nominated teachers must be employees of a public or private school/institution at the time of nomination. All nominations become the exclusive property of Sponsor, and none will be acknowledged or returned. Sponsor shall have the right to edit, adapt, and publish any or all of the nominations submitted, and may use them in any media with or without attribution or compensation to the entrant, his or her successors or assigns, or any other entity unless prohibited by law. Submission of a nomination in this Contest constitutes entrant’s irrevocable assignment, conveyance, and transference to Sponsor of all right, title, and interest in the nomination, including, without limitation, all copyrights. Entrants must comply with the following requirements and/or represent and warrant that the nomination submitted:
- Is the entrant’s original creation.
- Does not infringe any other person’s or entity’s rights including but not limited to intellectual property rights.
- Does not contain material that promotes bigotry, racism, hatred or harm against any group or individual or promotes discrimination based on race, gender, religion, nationality, disability, sexual orientation or age.
- Has not been published, or submitted in any other contest of any kind.
Sponsor, in its sole discretion, may disqualify you from the Contest if it believes, in its sole discretion, that your nomination fails to conform to the guidelines outlined above.

Each entrant may submit one (1) nomination during the Contest Period.
Prize (s):
ONE (1) CONSUMER PRIZE: $200 of Clorox products. Approximate Retail Value (”ARV”): $200.
ONE (1) TEACHER PRIZE: $10,000 and a trip to New York, NY to be a guest at a taping of The View. Trip package includes round trip coach-class air transportation for two (2) from a major airport near winner’s home (determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion) to New York, NY; two (2) nights/ three (3) days accommodations at hotel determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion (single room, double occupancy); ground transportation between hotel and airport; and the opportunity to be a guest at a taping of The View (any potential appearance on The View determined by the Show in its sole discretion). ARV: $12,000.
ONE (1) SCHOOL PRIZE: $10,000.
