The Meet Mike Sweepstakes Rules
Eligibility :
The Meet Mike Sweepstakes (the “Promotion”) is open only to legal residents of the fifty (50) United States (including District of Columbia) who are at least eighteen (18) years old at the time of entry.
Timing :
The Promotion begins on October 7, 2008 at 9:00 p.m. Eastern Time (“ET”) and ends on December 18, 2008 at 8:59 p.m. ET (the “Promotion Period”).
How to enter:
There are three (3) ways to enter and participate in this Promotion during the Promotion Period. You may enter the Sweepstakes for your chance to win the Grand Prize described in Section 9 of these Official Rules and you may also participate in the Instant Win Game for your chance to win one of the many prizes that are also described in Section 9. Here’s how to play:
- Sweepstakes Entry Method #1: You may receive one (1) entry by visiting http://dsc.discovery.com/fansites/dirtyjobs/
sweepstakes/meetmike.html (“Promotion Site”) and completing the online entry form with the requested information, including your first and last name, email address and mailing address. P.O. Boxes are not permitted. If this is your first time registering you automatically will receive one (1) entry into the Sweepstakes. - Sweepstakes Entry Method #2: You may also receive up to thirty-three (33) additional Sweepstake entries by participating in the trivia game offered on the Promotion Site. Here’s how to play – first, you must log onto the Promotion Site during the Promotion Period between each Tuesday at 9:00 p.m. ET through the following Tuesday at 8:59 p.m. ET (except during the last week of the Promotion when you have through December 18, 2008 at 8:59 p.m. to log on and answer the questions) (“Weekly Trivia Time Period”). During each Weekly Trivia Time Period, you will be presented three (3) trivia questions, which you may answer at any time during that Weekly Trivia Time Period. For each trivia question that you correctly answer you will receive an additional Sweepstakes entry. Thus, you may receive up to three (3) additional Sweepstakes entries per Weekly Trivia Time Period and, because there will be eleven (11) Weekly Trivia Time Periods during the entire Promotion Period, you may receive up to thirty-three (33) entries into the Promotion via this method.
- Alternate Method of Entry for the Sweepstakes: If you do not want to enter the Sweepstakes by answering the trivia questions, as described above, you may receive additional Sweepstakes entries by visiting http://dsc.discovery.com/fansites/dirtyjobs/games/
sweeps/match.html and submitting the requested information, including your first and last name and email address and completing a match game. You can visit this URL one (1) time per each Weekly Trivia Time Period to receive three (3) Sweepstakes entries each Weekly Trivia Time Period (for a total of 33 entries during the Promotion Period), through this method of entry. - Instant Win Entry: You also may participate in an Instant Win Game offered on the Promotion Site. To participate, you must visit the Promotion Site, log-on, and follow the links and instructions to play the game. The Instant Win Game results will be instantly displayed. You may play the Instant Win Game one (1) time per day during the Promotion Period. Potential winners of the Instant Win Game will be provided directions for validation.
Limit:
Each participant may receive (1) Sweepstakes entry upon initial registration and up to three (3) additional Sweepstakes entries per Weekly Trivia Time Period, regardless of method of entry, as well as one (1) Instant Win Game play per day during the Promotion Period.
Prize (s):
Sweepstakes Prize: ONE (1) GRAND PRIZE: A Trip for two (2) to one (1) of the Dirty Jobs production sets in 2009. Trip package includes roundtrip, coach-class air transportation for two (2) from a major airport near winner’s home (determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion) to a Dirty Jobs production set (specific city location will be determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion and based on availability); four (4) days and three (3) nights accommodations at a hotel determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion (single room, double occupancy); ground transportation to and from airport and hotel or rental car for length of stay (determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion); a visit to the Dirty Jobs production set and meet and greet with Mike Rowe; and $1,000 spending money. Approximate Retail Value (“ARV”): $10,000.
Instant Win Game Prizes:FIFTEEN (15) FIRST PRIZES: Dirty Jobs branded iPod Nano. ARV: $200. THIRTY (30) SECOND PRIZES: $100 Molly Maids Gift Card. ARV: $100. THIRTY (30) THIRD PRIZES: $50 Discovery.com Gift Card. ARV: $50. THIRTY (30) FOURTH PRIZES: Dirty Jobs Poster. ARV: $30. ONE HUNDRED SIXTY (160) FIFTH PRIZES: Dirty Jobs DVD (specific DVD will be determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion). ARV: $22. SIXTY (60) SIXTH PRIZES: A box of 25 assorted Dirty Chips. ARV: $21. EIGHTY-FIVE (85) SEVENTH PRIZES: Dirty Jobs Large Mug. ARV: $16.
