Eligibility :
The 2008 Statues On Parade Sweepstakes (the “Sweepstakes”) is open to legal residents of the fifty (50) United States and Washington D.C. who are eighteen (18) years or older at the time of entry (except in the case of legal residents of certain states or Washington D.C. where the age of majority is greater than eighteen (18) years of age, such age of majority). Employees, officers, and directors (including immediate family members (spouse, parent, child, sibling and their respective spouses, regardless of where they reside) and any person residing in their same households, whether or not related) of Major League Baseball Properties, Inc. (“MLBP”), MLB Advanced Media, L.P. (“MLBAM”) (MLBAM and MLBP collectively, the “Sponsors”), the other MLB Entities, the Promotion Parties and each of their respective parents, affiliated companies, subsidiaries, licensees, distributors, dealers, retailers, printers and advertising and promotion agencies, and any and all other companies associated with the Sweepstakes are not eligible to participate or win a prize. The “MLB Entities” shall mean the Office of the Commissioner of Baseball, its Bureaus, Committees, Subcommittees and Councils, MLB Advanced Media, L.P. (“MLBAM” or “MLB.com”), Major League Baseball Enterprises, Inc., Major League Baseball Properties, Inc., the Major League Baseball Clubs, Tickets.com, Inc., SportsOnEarth, LLC and each of their subsidiaries or affiliated entities, any entity which, now or in the future, controls, is controlled by, or is under common control with the Major League Baseball Clubs or the Office of the Commissioner of Baseball, and the directors, officers, employees and agents of the above entities. The “Promotion Parties” shall mean any and all entities who own and/or operate venues, buildings or the like on or around where the “Statues on Parade” are located. The Sweepstakes is subject to all applicable federal, state, local laws and regulations. Void where prohibited or restricted by law, rule or regulation.
Timing :
The Sweepstakes begins at noon Eastern Time (“ET”) on June 25, 2008 and ends at 11:59 a.m. on July 19, 2008 (“Entry Period”).
How to Enter :
There are three (3) ways to enter: online, by email or by mail. No other method of entry will be accepted.
- Online Method: During the Entry Period go to www.mlb.com/statues www.mlb.com/statues and click on the Sweepstakes banners, buttons and/or links to access the online entry form for the Sweepstakes. By successfully transmitting your completed online entry form as directed, including submitting an image of you and one (1) of the forty-two (42) Statues On Parade or an image of you and any other statue in a .jpg or .pdf file not exceeding 500kb in size (each, an “Image”), you will be entered in the Sweepstakes. Any Email entry which does not comply with the foregoing requirements will be disqualified. All information submitted online by entrants is subject to, and will be treated in a manner consistent with, MLB.com’s Privacy Policy accessible at: www.mlb.com/privacy. Entrants must fully complete and submit all non-optional data requested on the online entry form to be eligible. Incomplete entries are void. Online entrants to the Sweepstakes will be given the option to receive commercial e-mails from MLB.com; however, eligibility to participate in the Sweepstakes is not dependent upon entrant’s consent to receive such e-mails.
- Email Method: During the Entry Period, send an email to statues@website.mlb.com with STATUES ON PARADE as the subject line and the following information in the body of your email to receive one (1) entry in the sweepstakes: your complete name (first & last), your date of birth, your mailing address (including city, state & zip) and your daytime phone number (including area code). In addition, you must attach an Image in a .jpg or .pdf file not exceeding 500kb in size. Any Email entry which does not comply with the foregoing requirements will be disqualified. Proof of emailing does not constitute proof of delivery or entry.
- Mail-in Method: If you would like to enter the Sweepstakes without having to submit an Image, you may enter the Sweepstakes by hand-printing your complete name, your date of birth, your mailing address (including city, state & zip), your daytime phone number (including area code) and e-mail address (optional) on a 3″x5″ postcard and mailing in an envelope with proper postage affixed to: Statues On Parade Sweepstakes, 75 Ninth Avenue, 5th Floor, New York, NY. Mail-in entries must be postmarked by July 19, 2008 and received by Sponsors by July 26, 2008 to be eligible. Mail-in entries become the property of the Sponsors and will not be returned.
Limit :
Limit one (1) entry per person/e-mail address/household, regardless of method of entry.
Prize (s):
The Winner will receive a three (3) day/two (2) night trip for Winner and one (1) guest to attend the 2009 State Farm Home Run Derby and the 2009 MLB All-Star Game exhibition in St. Louis, MO (the “Prize”). Prize includes (a) round-trip coach air transportation for two (2) from major U.S. gateway airport nearest winner’s residence to major U.S. airport nearest St. Louis, MO, (b) standard double-occupancy hotel accommodations (one (1) room), (c) two (2) tickets to the 2009 State Farm Home Run Derby, (d) two (2) tickets to the 2009 MLB All-Star Game exhibition, and (d) ground transportation to/from the St. Louis, MO area airport and the applicable hotel.
