AT&T / Microsoft - Hotmail Summer Giveaway

Eligibility :
This sweepstakes is open only to legal residents of the 50 United States and the District of Columbia, 18 years of age or older who are AT&T Wireless subscribers as of June 14, 2008. Void where prohibited by law. Employees of Microsoft Corporation and its respective affiliates, parent companies, subsidiaries, promotion, advertising and promotional agencies; anyone working directly on Microsoft programs; and the immediate family members (parent, child, spouse, and sibling) and persons living in the households of each are not eligible to enter.

Timing :
The Windows Live Hotmail Summer Giveaway (”Sweepstakes”) begins at 12:00:01 a.m. (PT) on June 15, 2008 and ends at 11:59:59 p.m. (PT) on July 31, 2008 (”Sweepstakes Period”).

How to Enter :

If you do not have a Windows Live Hotmail account, you will need to obtain one to enter the Sweepstakes. There is no cost or obligation to obtain a Windows Live Hotmail account. To obtain a free Windows Live Hotmail account visit http://get.live.com/WL/config_all There are two ways to enter; via your AT&T wireless phone or online via PC. If you are an existing AT&T Wireless customer as of June 14, 2008, to enter via your AT&T wireless phone follow these steps to enter:

• A) Open “Menu” on your AT&T wireless phone.
• B) Look for Mobile E-mail. If you can’t find Mobile E-mail on the menu, try checking under Messaging or Games.
• C) Choose Windows Live Hotmail and sign in with your Windows Live ID
• D) Send an e-mail to winprizes@live.com with “win” in the subject line. Standard data charges apply.

To enter online without sending e-mail via your AT&T wireless phone, send an e-mail from a PC to winprizes@live.com from a Windows Live Hotmail account with “win” in the subject line.

Entries must be received by 11:59:59 p.m. (PT) on July 31, 2008 to be eligible.

Limit:
Multiple e-mail address accounts used for entry by a single entrant will not qualify for entry.

If you’re going to enter online sweepstakes, you should consider getting a new email account that you will use for this purpose only.

Online sweepstakes always ask for your email in order to contact you if you win a prize.
However, some of them also use it to send you newsletters, promotion, etc… also know as “Spam”.
So your email account will be filled with those and you probably don’t want them be in your personal email account.
