The Dollar General Shop & Win Millionaire Sweepstakes

Eligibility :
In order to be eligible for entry into the Dollar General Shop & Win MILLIONAIRE SWEEPSTAKES (the “Sweepstakes”), you must be: a) a legal resident of one of the following United States: AL, AR, AZ, CO, DE, FL, GA, IA, IL, IN, KS, KY, LA, MD, MI, MN, MO, MS, NC, NE, NJ, NM, NY, OH, OK, PA, SC, SD, TN, TX, UT, VA, VT, WI or WV, and b) 18 years of age or older at the time of entry.

Timing :
Between September 28, 2008 and December 15, 2008

How to enter:
Visit any participating Dollar General store (“Dollar General Store”) between September 28, 2008 and December 15, 2008 and purchase Qualifying Product(s) (defined below) (free entry also available, details are below) to receive a code on the checkout receipt which may be used to gain entries into the Sweepstakes as follows: the code (“Code”) may be used to secure one (1) entry (“Entry”) for each Qualifying Product purchased as part of the corresponding transaction, up to a maximum of ten (10) Entries per checkout receipt (“Receipt”) Code. A complete list of “Qualifying Products” appears in Appendix ‘A’ of these Official Rules. To earn Entries through this method, participants must keep their Dollar General Receipt, visit www.dollargeneral.com during the dates set forth below and follow the link to the Sweepstakes Registration Page. Participants must then complete and submit the Official Online Entry Form, in its entirety, including full name, physical address, city, state, zip, phone, e-mail address and date of birth. Participants must then enter their Receipt Code, made up of the eleven (11) digit number appearing on the bottom of their Receipt along with the four (4) digit Receipt sales total. In order for an online Entry to be valid, entrant must have a valid e-mail address and must click the “submit” button. To be entered in any particular draw, online entries must be submitted by 11:59 pm CT on the dates outlined in the section titled ‘DRAWS’ (below). You must complete the entire registration and configuration process in order to be automatically entered into the Sweepstakes. If you abort the registration and configuration process before it is complete, or if you un-configure before the end of the Sweepstakes, you will not be eligible to win.

Limit:
Limit ten (10) Entries per Code per person/e-mail address per day for online entries.

Prize (s):
The prizes available to be won in the Sweepstakes are as follows:

GRAND PRIZE DETAILS: The $1,000,000 Grand Prize will be awarded as an annuity, payable in equal installments of $50,000 per year for twenty (20) years.  The Grand Prize winner may opt in writing for a $585,000 lump sum payment instead of the twenty (20) year annuity.  Any and all federal, state and local taxes on any prize are the winner’s sole responsibility.
