The Microsoft Inspired Teachers Contest

Eligibility :

You are eligible to enter this Contest if you meet the following requirements at time of entry:

• You are a legal resident of the 50 United States or the District of Columbia 18 years or older; and
• You are a teacher / faculty member at an accredited K-12 educational institution located in the 50 United States or the District of Columbia (For the purposes of this Contest, home schools are not eligible);

Timing :
This Contest starts at 12:01 AM Pacific Time (PT) on May 15th, 2008, and ends at 11:59 PM PT on August 15, 2008 (“Entry Period”).

How to Enter :

To submit your entry, go to www.microsoft.com/Education/Inspired and

• Click “Submit a Story”
• Fill out the registration form/teacher profile
• Fill in a “title” for the story, the grade you teach, and the state you teach in
• Write your story in the text box field
• Hit “Submit”

Limit :
Only three (3) unique entries per person.

Prize (s):

One (1) Grand Prize: A prize package that consists of the following prizes awarded to the winning teachers school, to the winning teacher, and to the students that inspired the winning teacher:

School

• $1,000 American Express gift card awarded to the winning teachers school for use toward classroom supplies.

Teacher:

School: $500 American Express gift card awarded to the winning teachers school for to use toward classroom supplies
Teacher One copy of:

• Microsoft Student 2008 (ERV: $39.99)
• Learning Essentials for Office (Free)

3rd Prize – A prize package that consists of the following prizes awarded to the winning teachers school and to the winning teacher:
School: A $250 American Express gift card awarded to the winning teachers school for to use toward classroom supplies
Teacher One copy of:

• Microsoft OneNote® 2007 (ERV: $64.99)
• Microsoft Student 2008 (ERV: $39.99)
• Learning Essentials for Office (Free)

Alternatively, the winning teacher may elect to have the cash value of their prize donated to their school for use in purchasing school or classroom supplies.
