  1. I have been trying to enter the contest but keep getting an error message. I will keep trying, though!

  2. Hello,

An entry was submitted on my behalf and to save some time I can tell you to reject it.
One of the rules states that none of my family members can be employed by Ford and my father-in-law works for Galpin Ford in California.

    Thanx

  3. I would like to nominate Karen Martin, Fayette County Iowa Food Shelf Manager/Coordinator as a “Hero”. When Karen became manager, she expanded food available–not only through donations but using coupons to the upmost–like getting 100 doz. eggs “Free” from a grocery; venison donations from county hunters through a certified locker; ALWAYS looking for ways to help serve/provide more for participants.
She initiated asking for donations of clothing, blankets and household items to help pay the building rent; available not only to participants but to the public to purchase. (They know exactly when the rent payment has been met and get “giddy”!!!
With her bubbly, enthusiastic personality, it flows over to those that help her and her willingness to serve all that come in the door. (She found one participant did not have a refrigerator—used a cooler. She gave him canned meat rather than frozen venison.) She has expanded with food/goods available to where the building is “bursting at the seams”—overgrowing the space available to work efficiently–like sorting donations on top of a freezer but willing to do to serve everyone the best that they can.
Karen works beyond the “open” hours of the Food Shelf at the facility. She gives of her time freely, unselfishly when asked to speak at any time to a group/organization—even on a Sunday—to help the Food Shelf/participants in any way she can.
Please consider Karen as a “hero”.
    Thank you.
