I am truly a country music fan. Toby Keith is my favorite country singer. I have all his cd’s. This is actually the first time that I have ever written about being a fan. With my curent sitution in my life, I do have time in my life. I am a disabled correctional officer for the state of Washington. I have a brain tumor which has affected my right leg and my walking. I have had two surjuries, but they where not able to remove all the tumor. So in the mean time I am receiving Social Security and have returned to college to get my bacholar degree in criminal justice so that I at some time I may return to some type of employment. The one thing that keeps me going is my love of country music. I just got Toby Keith’s new cd, and I love it. The song Clancy’s Tavern reminds me of Billy Joels song “Piano Man”. I have signed up for the Toby Keith Ford truck give away because my truck is dying, and if I were to receive it, it would be the biggest, and best thing that has ever happened to me. I , like alot of other people out there keep this country ,our men and women in uniform and people like Toby Kieth in my prayers. At times like this It keeps my spirits up to remember their individual giving , and inspires me and others. I appreciate like others facing hard times that he and and Trace Atkins only sell American made products on their tours and websites. The generosity of people like this is what made this country great . I live in a small town where we are proud of our heritage , proudfully display it , where we wave to each other when we pass on the street , where the biggest and proudest program at the elementary school is for veterans day !! When I heard of this truck giveaway I laughed and said there Is another American soul doing what he can , and at the end of the day that’s what Americans Do BEST !!!! So if your looking for ways to buy American go down to your small locally owner buisness and buy gift certificates to give to your family and friends , stop in that neighbor hood gas station for a tune up , look around to those invisable family owner stores that you drive by and support them like this country use to , you may even meet a neighbor who has a morgage right nest to yours !! I would like to thank Toby Keith for all he has done for our troops and their families. His inspiration has been a blessing to all. I received a letter from a friend’s son that was in Afghanistan ,special forces. This letter touched me and God lead me to write a song. The song is called My Prayer and can be found on Rhapsody and numerous other places. My hope would be that this song would get into the right hands so that more people would think about our Troops and their families. Toby has inspired many of us to write songs for the people that we need to hold next under God. Our Troops! God Bless Toby and everyone supporting our troops.
