Eligibility :
The Castrol SYNTEC Feel the Power Sweepstakes (the “Sweepstakes”) is open only to legal residents of the fifty (50) United States and the District of Columbia who are at least eighteen (18) years old at the time of entry.
Timing :
The Castrol SYNTEC Feel the Power Sweepstakes begins on March 7, 2009 at 12:00 a.m. Eastern Time (“ET”) and ends on May 31, 2009 at 11:59 p.m. ET (the “Promotion Period”).
How to enter:
During the Promotion Period, visit www.CastrolSYNTECFF.com and follow the links and instructions to complete the registration. Complete and submit the registration including a valid home address. P.O. Boxes are not permitted. You automatically will receive one (1) entry into the Sweepstakes.
Limit:
Each participant may enter one (1) time per day during the Promotion Period.
Prize (s):
ONE (1) GRAND PRIZE: A 2009 Subaru Impreza WRX STI. Sponsor will determine all features of automobile including but not limited to color of exterior and interior, and all other features or upgrades will be allowed only if permitted by delivery dealer and paid for by winner. Winner must be a licensed driver and will be required to provide proof of insurance at time of delivery. Winner is responsible for title, license, registration, dealer preparation costs, auto insurance and other fees associated with prize. Winner must take delivery of prize from the automobile dealership designated by Sponsor. Approximate Retail Value (“ARV”): $34,995.
TWO (2) FIRST PRIZES: Each is a selected movie prop from the film “Fast & Furious” (determined by Sponsor or prize provider in its sole discretion). ARV: $500.
FIVE (5) SECOND PRIZES: Each consists of a one (1) year’s supply of Castrol SYNTEC (awarded in the form of twenty-four (24) quarts). ARV: $140.
FIFTY (50) THIRD PRIZES: Each consists of a movie poster for the film “Fast & Furious”. ARV: $10.

I believe the Castrol SYNTEC “Feel the Power” sweepstakes is a great idea for a number of reasons. First, partnering up with the producers/directors/staff of the new film of the Fast and the Furious series gets Castrol’s name out there as a very quality motor oil brand. It also helps due to the large number of young car enthusiasts that love the film series and really care about their car. I happen to be a young college student that really loves cars and takes pride in my own and offering the STI as the grand prize is something that will really catch people’s attention. Also, if the people that see this sweepstakes don’t have their own car yet, when they do, I’m sure they will think of Castrol as the first and only brand to use for motor oil. There are no annoying procedures or weird subscriptions required. Great idea!!
